Advice when buying furniture covers

Outdoor furniture is an investment in your outdoor space, and it’s made to last. With the right care and protection, you can enjoy it season after season – a smart choice for both your wallet and the environment.

Our furniture covers make it easy to preserve the quality of your furniture, whatever the weather. They fit the majority of our range and work for everything from dining and lounge furniture to parasols, outdoor kitchens, and sun loungers.

How to choose the right size

- Choose a furniture cover that is slightly larger than the furniture itself. Measurements are available in the catalogue, on our website, or on the packaging.

- Remember to allow space for chairs when choosing a cover for a dining set.

- Measurements for corner sofas are based on how you sit in the sofa: the first width refers to the left side, the second to the right.

Storage – what to keep in mind

- Always clean your furniture before storing it for the winter.

- Let the furniture dry completely before covering it.

- If possible, place the furniture under a roof or elevate it to prevent moisture, for example by placing additional paving slabs underneath.

Breathable furniture covers

Made from durable RIP-stop polyester with a TPU-coated inside. The taped seams make the covers waterproof while allowing condensation that forms underneath to escape, preventing moisture from entering from the outside.

Waterproof furniture covers

Made from fully waterproof polyester with a felt-lined inside. The material and construction are waterproof and non-breathable; therefore, the covers feature air pockets for additional ventilation. This version should not be used on wooden or fabric furniture.

Important about ventilation

- There should always be space between the cover and the furniture to allow air to circulate. This is especially important to prevent mould and growth – particularly on wooden or fabric furniture. For these materials, a breathable cover is always recommended.

- For example, place an upside-down flower pot on the table to create air space underneath the cover.

- Covers for sofas and dining sets also feature Velcro straps in the corners for extra stability.

Can I leave the cushions under the furniture cover?

We always recommend storing cushions indoors to prevent odours and to extend their lifespan.

How do I clean my furniture cover?

Stains can be removed with soap and water or a suitable textile cleaner.

Storage of furniture covers?
